3 Reasons You Should Hire an Online Trainer

January 27, 2019

  1. Flexibility.
Because you’re working out in your own time, scheduling conflicts don’t happen. One of the problems busy trainers face is trying to fit their clients in at the times they like. Quite often, the client will have to train at an inconvenient time because that’s all that’s available. I’ve even had to turn potential clients away because we just couldn’t find a time that suited us both.
It also means that you can workout from anywhere. The gym near your work or the one near your house. Your own living room or basement. Even a park or field. You tell me what’s available and I’ll make it work.
With Online Personal Training, you are set up with everything you need to workout when it suits you best. So even if your meeting runs late, the babysitter cancels or you’re coming down with a cold, you’re not going to face a penalty fee or lose the session.
As long as you can get the workout done at some point, you’ve got nothing to worry about.

  2. Accountability.
For most people, it seems, the easiest person to let down is ourselves. We want to get in better shape, eat better and reap the benefits of doing so but then life has a way of taking over. Other things become a priority and the fitness regime takes a back seat.
Despite people’s genuine desire to be in better shape, getting in better shape can be hard to do. A big reason for this is a lack of focus, direction and motivation.
With my online clients, we schedule regular check-ins, have weekly reports and I provide general accountability so that you alway have the push you need to keep going. This also ensures that you are doing each exercise correctly and that your program will be updated as you become fitter and fitter with each session.
Knowing that someone else gives a shit can, sometimes, be all it takes to keep going.

  3. Affordability.
In person training is, in my opinion, the gold standard when it comes to getting in the best shape, safely and effectively. That’s not to say that, playing sports, going to a group class or even just doing it on your own don’t work, because they do, but having a qualified professional in your corner will make a world of difference.
Unfortunately, the cost of Personal Training is just not in the budget for a lot of us. Or, for some, it’s not that much of a priority. And that’s cool, we all have different values.

Online PT, while not quite at the same level as in-person PT, is definitely second best.

While in-person PT can be the same monthly cost as a new car payment, online PT is more like the cost of a night on the town (depending on what you’re into of course).
Which is just as well because you’ll need some extra cash to buy a new wardrobe when your clothes don’t fit anymore.

So, if you are looking to get started with or improve your fitness training, or even if you’re just curious about online training, drop me a line or fill out the short questionnaire form and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can (usually in 24 hours).
